For children the main aim of this class is fun, fun, fun!

They are given the opportunity to experience the excitement of drama and theatre from an early age. Through drama games, exercises, acting and movement the children are able to awaken their imaginations and explore different emotions.

The children are also learning important life skills such as respect for others, self-discipline and good communication skills whilst getting a taste of acting and possibly even becoming a budding star of the future!

Within the class we use simple poetry, prose, voice exercises and script work to develop the skills of reading for performance, good diction and controlled voice projection. This work also helps the children to improve their concentration and memory.

So, whether your child enjoys being centre-stage or prefers being in the wings and needs help improving their confidence, this is the class for them. It also serves as a stepping-stone to our Let's Act! class. The age ranges of the classes overlap so seven-year-olds have the option of going to either, depending on their abilities and where you think they would best fit in.

At your child's second paid lesson, once they have joined the group, they will receive their free class folder. This must be brought to the class each week along with a pen or pencil.
